Now Read This! The Coach’s Guide to Completing Creative Work

You ever read a book and feel like it was written just for you?

I read The Coach’s Guide to Completing Creative Work: Top Tips for Working with Procrastination, Perfectionism and More over the weekend – and right from page one, I felt like it was affirming everything I experience as a writer. And as a coach of writers.

Every topic in the book made me feel SEEN.

Creating is hard? Yup!

Failure is not failure? Yep!

Rituals help? Yessiree!

Accountability is critical? You betcha!

As the title implies, this book is all about acknowledging the very real ebb and flow of creative practice. In it, thirty-eight creativity coaches address the common challenges facing creatives in short, practical essays. Each essay has three tips for creatives and three tips for coaches of creatives. If you do any kind of creative work, such as art, dance, gardening, writing, acting, and so on, you’ll find this book supportive, insightful, and realistic. There are many suggestions I can incorporate into my practice as a writer and a coach.

I can’t remember how I heard about the book, beyond two book coaches I know have chapters in here, but I’m so glad it made it into my bubble of awareness.

I put it in my Bookshop.org recommended books page: https://bookshop.org/shop/amygoldmacher

But of course you can find it wherever you like to purchase books.

I highly recommend you add this book to your collection of helpful resources.
